1. Why is wood so often used for residential buildings?

Wood is highly used because it is relatively cheap and available everywhere.
2. What alternatives to wood frame construction are available and what are the advantages and disadvantages of each?

- Steel Framing

Pros: Is much sturdier than wood, Lighter than wood, Doesn't warp or expand

Cons: Special tools are needed, Builders are unfamiliar

- Adobe

Pros: Easily available in some reasons
Cons: Possibiltiy to get sick much easier than normal homes 

3. How are trusses able to span large distances?

If they are layed vertically, it makes the truss much stronger and the deflection is much less.

4. What framing systems are used to support residential roofs?

A popular method of framing is diagonal bracing.  It makes them much stronger by forming triangles.

5. How are different roof styles and pitches related to different architectural styles?
Some styles may be chosen due to the fact that there is restricted materials or heigth constraints.  Other roof styles may be picked by the builder due to cost or by the owner's desire.

Tim chose his career in his sophmore geometry class.  His textbook highlighted this career at the end of a chapter and he decided that it mixed many components that he really loved.  These components include plants, engineering, art, drawing, and being outdoors.

Almost all States require landscape architects to be licensed, which generally requires a degree in landscape architecture from an accredited school, work experience, and a passing score on the Landscape Architect Registration Exam.

I am a very fun and light hearted guy, but know when to be serious and proffesional.

To be a successful businessman and be able to have a positive relationship with many community members through my services.

This career has many different rewarding aspects.  The challenges that you will face will make you a better problem solver and stronger buisness person.

Conclusion

No, right now I think that I am more interested in something to do with chemical or electrical engineering.

First of all the school must be accredited.  Second it must offer the correct courses that I need to prepare me for my actual job.  The last one is that I fit well with the campus and its surroundings.
